Look at today’s match. Why PWI could not beat KKR?. PWI played with low morale and never looked interested in increasing run rate. same thing happened with RR yesterday.

I will not analyze each team. We all know each player by now.

RCB wins all matches because of Gayle. If he does not click, the team will collapse like nine pins.

DC is a very strong team. They will beat RCB for sure on 20 May.

KKR – Doing well only because of good spin attack.  Narine is in devastating form. Kallis will shine. Gambhir will fail .Tiwary, Yusuf Pathan will score few runs. Team is tensed up and over hyped.

PWI- Ganguly will like to avenge earlier defeat. Team is good but inconsistent.Clarke and Smith will score runs.Uthappa will shine.Ryder will also be handy in runs. Bowling attack is average.

Likely Winner- PWI

DD – Sehwag, Ross Taylor, Warner ad Russel will shine. Spirited DD will not let go any opportunity to build up tempo to remain at the top of the points table. Bowling is very penetrative in Aaron, Umesh , Morkel and Pathan.

Kings Eleven – has been riding on luck and poor performance of other teams. Gilchrist is in form.Hussey will score. Mandeep, Gurkeerat will fail. Awaana will be thrashed.

DC – A team most consistent in performance yet, losing most of the matches.As pr me this team is better than many teams higher up in points table. Players will try to go all out to prove their worth. C White, Christian and Duminy under Sangakara will come out with blazing guns. Steyn will sting.

RR – Highly motivated team will bounce back spirited in order to register a win. Dravid, Rahane, Watson, Owais Shah and Botha are in good form. Tait, Trivedi, Amit are steady performers with the bowl. Need to improve fielding. Chandila has been a good bowler who can trouble any batsman.

DD – Middle order was exposed in the last match. Team dependent on top four batsmen. Jayawardene may not score. Ross Taylor, Warner and Sehwag will score runs. Yadav, Aaron are deadly bowlers. Pathan will contribute with the ball. The fielding is excellent and the team is beginning to perform well as a team. Consistency seems to be setting in.

RCB – With every game, top four batsmen are failing resulting in pressure on the middle order. Kohli jumps around in the field like a monkey. Captains do not behave like kids. Kohli has failed in all the matches. Vettori should play. Zaheer is bowling well. Vinay Kumar and Harshal have lost the sting.

Likely Winner – DD ( better batting , fielding and bowling)

I predict based on current form and trend of scoring by players. I was shocked by lack luster performance by MI against KKR. They lost a match which they could have won easily. The openers took off to a slow start and never built up the tempo of a winning note. Shocking was the aimless hitting by seasoned players like, Pollard, Rahudu and Rohit. I fail to justify such careless shots. Are the Bookies and Match fixers doing the tricks? God only knows.

Kings XI – A disjointed team with domestic players like Harkeerat and Mandeep playing festive cricket. Seriousness is lacking. Only Hussey and Azhar look determined to play well for the team. The fielding is weak  and so is bowling attack ( less Awaana and Praveem Kumar). Team work is lacking. Players have been riding their luck for quite some time.

CSK- Strong, well coordinated team progressing with each match. Batsmen are in form and improving. Bowlers are doing well. With all batsmen in form and Dhoni leading well, the team is unbeatable.

Likely Winner- CSK

KKR- Gambhir appears over confident. He will not score. McCullum will sore around 20 runs.Pathan Shukla and Bhatia are playing below potential. Must replace Pathan. Kallis has not really excelled and not been a match winner. He will bowl well. Team is disjointed and plays under too much pressure. Replace B Lee. Shakib also is playing below potential. Must play Pattinson. Abdullah is a good bowler. Narine  will trouble opponents with his guile. The team lacks cohesiveness to win matches.

MI- A team which converts no win situation to a win situation. Team effort is visible in all matches. Gibbs will score. Tendulkar will strike form. rayudu is already in form and may not score.Rohit Sharma will score runs and so will D Karthik. Pollard and Harbhajan will pick up wickets. Strong team psychologically. Munaf, Mallinga and Ojha will restrict run rate. Successive wins have boosted confidence of team.

The schedule of matches and my predictions/ analysis based on current form of each team for top 6 teams are as follows:-

DD- 18 points- Will win both matches against Kings XI and against RCB- will reach 24 points.

KKR- 17points- Will loses against MI and PWI- will reach 17 points.

RCB- 15 points- Will lose against MI, DD but win against DC- will reach 17 points

MI- 18 points- Will lose against RR but, will win against KKR- will reach 20 points

CSK- 17 points – Will win against  Kings XI will reach 19 points.

RR- 14 points- Will win both matches against DC and MI- will reach 18 points

Kings XI Punjab- 14 points- will loses both matches against DD and against CSK- will reach 14 points.

Based on the likely results of matches as i visualise, the four teams to enter play off stage could be- DD, MI, CSK and RR.

KKR and RCB are two teams whose performance was hyped up by commentators and media. Both these teams are heavily dependent on few players. Real team effort is lacking.

DD – Batting is splitting apart. Sehwag has not scored in last two matches. He may score in this game. Jayawardene will hit a low. Ross Taylor if played will explode and find form.  warner is likely to get out cheaply. Nagar and Pathan will add runs. Yadav, Aaron and Mokel will be effective against weak domestic batting lineup of opponents.

Kings XI -  Marsh and Hussey will score runs.  Mandeep, nayar will find DD pacers tough to face. Gurkeerat is an average batsman who  is always lucky to get lose balls in slog overs.
