The second edition of Celebrity Cricket League got under way on 13 Jan at Dubai. Salman Khan, face of CCL, attended the the opening ceremony. Many stars from various film industries also graced the occasion. A brilliant performance by Devi Sri Prasad of “Dhinka Chika” fame was appreciated by all.

Matches will be played in T2o format on IPL lines with six teams representing India’s six Film Industries. The matches will be played at Dubai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Kochi.

The teams participating in the league are- Mumbai Heroes (MH), Chennai Rhinos (CR), Bengal Tigers (BT), Kerala Strikers (KS), Telugu (TW) and Karnataka Bulldozers (KB).

The opening match between Mumbai Heroes and Telugu Warriors ended in an exciting draw. One can expect for more exciting encounters as the league progresses. Suneil Shetty id the captain of Mumbai heroes. Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia D’Souza and Kangana Ranaut are the brand ambassadors for Mumbai heroes.

While i write this post, The match between MH and CR is in progress with CR at 63 for 3, needing 84 more runs to win the match.
