Today, almost every  individual uses a mobile phone without being aware of it’s harmful side effects. Like trendy clothes, all want to use trendy mobiles to look fashionable.

Flashing costly mobiles is the order of the day. Many carry two mobiles to flaunt at public places.

Just Think for yourself. Do You really need to use a mobile all the time? Can you not do your work by communicating on a land line number? Must you converse in trains, buses , malls and other public places? Will your work really suffer, if you wait to get to a land line  number?

Well, if you sincerely analyze the real necessity of a mobile phone in your work/business, you will probably feel that you are unnecessarily using the mobile most of the times, under the garb of business.

Have you ever pondered over the harmful/ adverse effects of mobile usage on your body/brain.

Mobile phones and their link with cancer has been an ongoing debate for decades. Reports received after various studies are inconclusive. Some reports point towards brain tumor while some fail to substantiate the same.

With proper planning and usage, one can safeguard oneself from the adverse effects of mobiles on our body/brain.

Harmful Effects Of Mobiles

Mobile phones and personal communications systems are low-power radio devices that transmit and receive signals in the radio frequency (RF) range 900 and/or 1800 megahertz through a network of base stations. Most countries have brought in regulations to limit public exposure to RF radiation.

Exposure to RF radiation can occur from the base station, and mobile phones.The intensity of radiation decreases a few meters from the antenna. Most of the base stations are located in populated areas therefore, those people living in the path of the beam are more prone to exposure to radiations.

Every mobile has a transmitter and an antenna. RF energy generated by transmitter (one to two watts) is radiated through Antenna. Most of the energy is absorbed by brain since, mobile is held close to the head. Due to absorption of RF energy (expressed as specific absorption rate- SAR)  by human body, the tissue temperature of body increases. SAR is measured in units of watts per kg (W/Kg ) of tissue.

However ,If the heat generated is small, the body’s thermoregulatory mechanism can dissipate it without causing adverse effects. If the temperature exceeds this capacity, (about 1 to 2 degree celsius), tissue damage may occur.

Based on the experiments carried out on some animals and human beings (volunteers), some of the adverse affects called as “Thermal Effects” are listed below:-

• Penetration of the blood-brain barrier.

•  Disturbed neuro muscular functions.
•  Lens opacity.
• Reduced sperm production.

Other possible effects are as follows:-

• Spending a lot of time on cell phone disturbs sleep.
• Studies show that use of cell phones for more than 10 years increase the risk of Glioma
• Radio waves from mobile phones do harm body cells and damage DNA.
• High blood pressure.
• Headaches, Fatigue, Stress
• Because of their smaller heads, thinner skulls and higher tissue conductivity, children may absorb more energy from a given phone than adults.

The ICNIRP ( International Commission for Non-ionizing Radiation Protection) has recommended RF exposure levels for general public, in terms of power densities, as 4.5 W/m2 and 9.0 W/m2 respectively for the 900 and 1800 MHZ frequency radiations. Exposures below these levels are harmless.

Surveys have shown that RF exposure from base stations in areas accessible to public are normally much lower than these guidelines. However, the actual levels depend upon the number of channels, total power radiated, multiplicity of the towers in the neighborhood etc.

No surveys have been conducted in India. 

The onus for demonstrating safety of base stations now lies with service providers. 

The Indian government recently decided to adopt the guidelines issued by ICNIRP, an international science body,

It is in the interest of every individual to use mobiles sparingly to avoid any possible chance of harmful effects of RF radiations on human body.

Next time you use a mobile, please think twice-Can you do without a mobile?

Well well, she never bared anything even after several promises during last year except, releasing few of her so called steamy videos (which were as cold as ice).

Where was Poonam Pandey when Porn Queen Sunny Leone was hitting the headlines while being part of the Bigg Boss house? Was she learning her lessons well or waiting for the right opportunity to come into limelight? We have no answers for that.

Poonam must do something silly and extra ordinary time and again. Soon after Indian Premier joined twitter, she welcomed him like this ” i heard that @PMO India is on Twitter- Does he know (sic) that @Poonam  Pandey is on Twitter too…so a welcoming pic “. She tweeted a semi clad photo of hers.

Is it not a shameful gesture? How dare a fame hungry lass welcome a Prime Minister of the biggest democracy in the world in such a disrespectful and sarcastic manner? Will anyone take any action against her for making a mockery of  an event where a leader takes on to tweeting?

Tweeting is not a joke. It is not all fun. Tweeting is a serious business and should be handled seriously.

Poonam, wake up…have some respect for the PM and grow up under proper guidance else, you may be blown away with the winds of time….no where to be seen (therefore, anchor yourself well).

The news is that Baba Ramdev and his supporters will join hands with Team Anna and his activists in order to bring in awareness among the people (of five states where election will be held) on issues relating to Lok Pal Bill and Corruption. Is this just the speculation of the people or will everyone witness a union of two strong movements- Of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev?

However, Team Anna claims that they have never invited Baba Ramdev to join hands with them.

It is a bugle call for the Congress who should tighten it’s belts.

Just wait and watch the dramatic turn of events in the near future.

The two students taking the exam had tied their mobile phones to their wrists nicely covered by the sleeves of their shirt. The question papers were scanned by the mobiles and the images were then transmitted to a control room and downloaded.

The papers were solved by the experts who dictated answers to six candidates who had Bluetooth devices stitched near the collars and were using small earphones as well to avoid detection.

Where did they falter? What went wrong? That is yet to be known.

Is there a better way of cheating in such exams? Keep thinking.

They were unlucky to get caught. Many like them may have got away with such attempts in other exams or will try to repeat the same style of cheating  elsewhere, and get away with it.

It was indeed, a classic example of using Technology in the best possible manner. I wonder if this example will pave the way for small time cheaters in other exams all over the country. Only strict vigil by invigilators with latest devices can check such attempts.

One can imagine the level immense preparations the gang must have made before putting their plan to action.

Here is some food for thought. Would it not be wise to reduce the weightage of written exams and lay more emphasis on viva and interviews conducted by an experts panel?

But, that does not mean that all should forget the basic human qualities (honesty, helping needy ones ,ethics, morality) and start bitching and become cunning.

Day 9-Anti Pooja Misra Stir and Conspiracy Picks Up

As expected, all except Mandeep nominated Pooja Misra. Pooja Bedi and Shonali both, voted for Pooja Misra and Shradha Sharma-Planned.

Anti Pooja Misra movement in house was visible.

Raageshwari and Shonali escaped any nominations-Both are playing an intelligent game but, next time will be on the mat.

As a result of Shakti saving Mandeep (he will regret later), poor Gulabo in all probability will get evicted on next Tuesday.

Mandeep is a Narad Muni and a dark horse- very smart yet, a lost case.

Laxmi seems to be breaking down under pressure and has lost focus. She is drifting towards Pooja Bedi group.

Shakti and Amar when together, never discussed any person. Both afraid of each other.

Shradha Sharma is going to axe her feet by betraying Pooja Misra who, has faith in her. Shradha nominated her.

Pooja Misra advises Gulabo to be brave against Pooja Bedi who discriminates and considered Gulabo below standards.

Infact, Gulabo is the most genuine lady in the house who is looked down upon all except Pooja Misra who requested her to teach her Rajasthani folk dance.

Shonli consoles Gulabo in a cheap manner- As if someone is cuddling a dog with funny sounds.

I find that Pooja Misra is a very strong lady who maintains her original qualities and behavior and does not snub anyone.

Pooja Bedi openly propagates (amongst her friends), snubbing of Pooja Misra.-Shows Cheap character of Pooja Bedi. Let viewers decide who should go out of BB house.Inmates must live normal life.

Juhi’s thoughts polluted by Pooja Bedi about dish washing task. She complained about Pooja Misra wasting water and Juhi announced the same to let Pooja Misra in front of all others.

Shakti realises his mistake and asks Vida to break the group formed by Shonali  and Pooja Bedi. He accepted that Pooja Misra was a hot  personality much in demand by viewers and will will not be out of BB house soon.

Day 10-Amar Group Emerges-Neutrala Head for Other Groups

Amar and Pooja Misra group will be formed.Latest groups will be:-

Group A- Pooja Bedi (Leader),Shonali, Laxmi, Juhi, Mahek, Raageshwari.

Group B- Shakti (Leader), Shradha Sharma, Vida.

Group C- Amar (Leader), Pooja Misra, Mandeep, Gulabo

Vida and Shradha will soft towards Pooja Misra.

Shonali playing a long distance runner. She will try to project herself somehow. Lacks caliber, good  human qualities and is very artificial in her behavior.

Juhi will get involved in a brawl because of her over confident behavior. She is already feeling that she has made it to the finals.

Amar will try and probe Laxmi to know his mind about Bedi and her gang.

I am surprised about all inmates not joining in to learn Rajasthani dance  of Gulabo. And we talk of National Integration. This clearly shows how selfish and ignorant Indian actors and celebrities are about our cultural heritage.

Can’t BB organize a central class daily for Rajasthani dance as a weekly task?  Who bothers. After all, it is a money game.

That is it. A smile can make your day. Do not frown or give constipated looks when dealing with others.

Very often, we forget the basic courtesies and manners while dealing/communicating  with others. Mostly, it is because of our Attitude which is governed by a self belief about our so called high Status/Job/Flourishing Business. We presume that we belong to a higher class than our counterpart with whom we are going to strike some sort of conversation/acquaintance.

This bloats our conscience and forces us to act under pretense in a bid to establish supremacy over the other person. This is the greatest pit fall in inter personal relations. The end result is a very formal, brief exchange of sentences and lose eye contact culminating into cold vibes from both sides defining end of interaction.

Do we want this in our daily life? No, certainly not. Each one of us wants to be respected and well received during any conversation/inter personal dealings- more so when accompanied by siblings/relatives while shopping.

Always try to reach out to others. You will always be a gainer.

Here are few of the tips to raise your self esteem, feel more confident and projecting better part of your personality while shopping.

• Smile as you approach a counter/sales person.
• Respond to the greetings from across the counter with a smile.
• Listen to the other person with keen interest.
• Talk politely.
•  Ask for queries if any, about products/items being shown.
• Be decisive. Be quick. Do not take too much time selecting articles.
•  Seeking views of many will further confuse you.
• Do not be rude in behavior. Do not boast of your status/job.
• Appreciate other person’s efforts.
• Leave with a smile. This will help you with a warm welcome next time too.

So folks, is it very simple to shop well with a smile while projecting a good image of yourself.

Always think positive and try to be an optimist.

POONAM PANDEY

The media and public are now aware of her cheap gimmicks to steal limelight and creating buzz all around. Her fake bare all promises in recent months and scantily clad pictures on twitter earlier this month to motivate Team India are clear examples of her stunts.

Yet, I call her BRAVE. She broadcasts her intentions regularly. After Slut Walk in Delhi in Aug, she even ANNOUNCED to lead the Walk in Mumbai. All eyes are set on her Twitter for any indications of her intentions.

Something is brewing—But, nobody can read her mind.

I have a suggestion for this lass. Hey POONAM, why don’t you try to motivate the Indian teams in the Nokia Champions League T20 currently being played in India?

You can surely do a lot to motivate young budding cricketers. At least, sit in the stands for a while or even have a cup of tea with Indian Teams in the dressing rooms- in whatever clothes you wish to wear. That will be a good gesture and a morale booster for the players.

Come on POONAM, rise and do something real good.

So far, the three points of Anna have just  been agreed to by the parliament and referred to the Standing Committee. All the issues will be delebrated by the committee. Do we call this as a victory? What is the guarantee that these three issues would be adopted in government Lok Pal Bill fully. They could even be chopped off appropriately to take the sting out of them….A weak Lok pal Bill?????

How long will the Standing Committee take to scrutinise, analyse and pen down the much awaited Lok Pal Bill? ….God only knows.

Last 12 days were full of drama, agitations, speeches, meetings and what not. As per me the fight has ended before it began. A mere assurance by the government can not be taken as its willingness to adopt essentials of Jan Lok pal bill in the government version of the same.

The politicians and some of the corrupt ministers of the ruling party and opposition have got a breather now and will pull strings to manipulate Lok Pal Bill to retain loopholes permitting the government to amass public wealth and carry on with the corrupt practices on regular bases even after Lok Pal Bill is passed.

The entire nation is feeling happy for no reason. Each one is lauding the efforts of the other.People are dancing to the beat of the drums. Praises being offered for each and everyone.What concrete has been achieved? Nothing. Just a nod by government should not be taken as a victory. It c0uld well be a ploy to stall the entire process of  Team Anna on some technical or administrative grounds at a later stage.

I feel that the agitation and fast should have continued right till the culmination point ie, acceptance of Lok Pal Bill as per the requisites put up by Team Anna.  What will Team Anna do if Standing Committee sits over the bill or amends all the contents?

Therefore, some members of Team Anna should have remained on fast in rotation in other cities of India just to maintain pressure on the government to hasten up the proceedngs. Abrupt ending of fast at RamLila Grounds is a battle lost in vain.

The entire drama portrays lack of forethought, planning, direction and leadership in Team Anna Camp.

I have my reservations if Anna can get anything implemented next time as per his wishes.

The world is still waiting for the next move. Will anything happen now?

Will she ever bare all?

Only Poonam knows the answer. Some one please go to her/contact her and ask what she is going to do next. My God.. Who will dare to do this?

Relax. Take a deep breath. Let us view the whole story in stages.

Stage 1.India won the WC  and nothing happened. Poonam went underground. All disappointed…PHEW…

Stage 2. She surfaced after a few days and requested BCCI to allow her to bare all in front of the team since that would be a therapeutic treatment for the players boosting their morale and efficiency. Permission not granted, nothing happened and she went into hiding again…..COOL CAT….

Stage 3. It was learn t that PETA had asked Poonam to bare all for the sake of animals and not the cricketers. Shiv Sena opposed this act.

Stage 4. She surfaced again and was signed up for the TV show” Comedy Ka Muqqabla”. But that was not to happen. Just prior to the shoot, She quit and opted to take part in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4….. WHAT A U TURN….

Deductions

1. Ponam Pandey wants to be in limelight and  gain publicity. Announced her intentions of Baring All after India wins knowing fully well that nudity was an offense in India.

2. She can’t keep promises.

3. She changes her decisions very fast.

4. She goes underground and plans her next move.

So folks, the next time you hear any news about this damsel, please be rest assured that nothing will happen…all fake ….,
