Today, almost every  individual uses a mobile phone without being aware of it’s harmful side effects. Like trendy clothes, all want to use trendy mobiles to look fashionable.

Harmful Effects Of Mobiles

Mobile phones and personal communications systems are low-power radio devices that transmit and receive signals in the radio frequency (RF) range 900 and/or 1800 megahertz through a network of base stations. Most countries have brought in regulations to limit public exposure to RF radiation.

Exposure to RF radiation can occur from the base station, and mobile phones.The intensity of radiation decreases a few meters from the antenna. Most of the base stations are located in populated areas therefore, those people living in the path of the beam are more prone to exposure to radiations.

Every mobile has a transmitter and an antenna. RF energy generated by transmitter (one to two watts) is radiated through Antenna. Most of the energy is absorbed by brain since, mobile is held close to the head. Due to absorption of RF energy (expressed as specific absorption rate- SAR)  by human body, the tissue temperature of body increases. SAR is measured in units of watts per kg (W/Kg ) of tissue.

However ,If the heat generated is small, the body’s thermoregulatory mechanism can dissipate it without causing adverse effects. If the temperature exceeds this capacity, (about 1 to 2 degree celsius), tissue damage may occur.

Based on the experiments carried out on some animals and human beings (volunteers), some of the adverse affects called as “Thermal Effects” are listed below:-

• Penetration of the blood-brain barrier.

•  Disturbed neuro muscular functions.
•  Lens opacity.
• Reduced sperm production.

Other possible effects are as follows:-

• Spending a lot of time on cell phone disturbs sleep.
• Studies show that use of cell phones for more than 10 years increase the risk of Glioma
• Radio waves from mobile phones do harm body cells and damage DNA.
• High blood pressure.
• Headaches, Fatigue, Stress
• Because of their smaller heads, thinner skulls and higher tissue conductivity, children may absorb more energy from a given phone than adults.

The ICNIRP ( International Commission for Non-ionizing Radiation Protection) has recommended RF exposure levels for general public, in terms of power densities, as 4.5 W/m2 and 9.0 W/m2 respectively for the 900 and 1800 MHZ frequency radiations. Exposures below these levels are harmless.

Surveys have shown that RF exposure from base stations in areas accessible to public are normally much lower than these guidelines. However, the actual levels depend upon the number of channels, total power radiated, multiplicity of the towers in the neighborhood etc.

No surveys have been conducted in India. 

The onus for demonstrating safety of base stations now lies with service providers. 

The Indian government recently decided to adopt the guidelines issued by ICNIRP, an international science body,

It is in the interest of every individual to use mobiles sparingly to avoid any possible chance of harmful effects of RF radiations on human body.

Bigg Boss Season 5 has the worst contestants of all the previous reality shows.

Raising false alarms (of anger) and blowing their own trumpets (of personal ideals and false beliefs) is the order of the day.

The focus of all tyrants and fighters in the house is on following two aspects:-

• Past
• Provocation

Pick out any contestant and one can scrutinize the behavior (based on performance so far) with ease.

Look at Sky ( Akaashdeep). He feels he is “Mr Right” and a great planner. He always hits the ladies below the belt. Intentionally, he talks about the past of others (although, he claims he does not resort this dirty tactics) and procates them to flare up, talk fowl in defense and spoil their image with the viewers.

Sky has so far targeted Shradha Sharma, Pooja Misra, Laxmi, Mahek and Amar.

And he is the one who begged Bigg Boss to allow him to speak to his family. Does it portray strong character and resilience? No way.

It is a matter of shame that one (the so called celebrity) has to resort to such third grade means to survive in the house. Although, it is a game show but, attacking one’s character to achieve one’s aims is not in right in any form of competition.

The underlying principle  should be – how impress others by one’s good qualities and impeccable behavior in order  to earn willing respect and regards of other housemates.

The ruling government came down on its knees and accepted Anna’s  Three demands  and agreed to work seriously on Jan Lok Pal Bill. Anna’s efforts were lauded by old and young.

The cricketers are a forgotten story- They were only being used as a leverage to project herself in glamor world.

Her latest video “Bedroom Scene” leaves very little to imagination. It shows Poonam Pandey rolling and stretching in bed, moaning all the while showing her thongs and later removing her lacy black top to show her underclothing is nothing but pornography.

This 8 minutes video clipping is rather boring and so sickening that one wonders how can a girl try so desperately to be popular.

I think her motto is- Treat her House as a launch pad. Her first video clipping was a bathing scene, second one was  doing make up at the dressing table and the third one is on the bed. The fouth one will be…….. god knows where……just keep imagining..

Without talent , nothing is possible. And this model must undrstand that such videos may project her very high for a short time but, in the longer run she will find herself on the roadside all alone.

She has also announced that she will also put up a TV which will show her bedroom 24 hours. A great distraction for the younger generation.

Day 16-Mahek confronts all ladies and Sidharth snubs Amar during weekly task.

Another day passed of without too many fire works. Although everyone was running from pillar to post to justify one’s behavior and actions. Very small issues were being blown into big issues and debated upon by everyone.

Shonali danced on early morning wake up music- Tried to impress audience.

Pooja Bedi (PB) appreciated Laxmi’s behavior and hugged her- Welcoming Laxmi to her group.

Mahek cornered Shradha and discussed about Vida and Sidharth. She told Shradha that both were just joking and commenting on each other. She then asked Shradha if she would mind if someone joked about her and Shakti. Shadha got a bit agitated- Mahek does not spare anyone.

Shradha immediately went to Shakti and told him what Mahek had commented.- Gossip will never stop in BB house.

Mahek also got involved in a verbal duel with Shonali who felt hurt and brought in Shradha to clarify her stand- Mahek trying to prove to audiences that she is clean.

Mahek next targetted Juhi . She cautioned Juhi when the latter told her that most of the persons in the house felt Mahek was not right. Juhi also told her that she had not nominated her. Mahek asked Juhi to talk about herself and not give opinion of others.

Soon, Mahek noticed Juhi bitching in front of PB, Vida and others. Mahek walked into the group and told them to refrain from bitching- Shows confidence.

Pooja Misra (PM) and Amar decided to go after the gang leader (PB) rather than eliminating members of a group who were mere “Puppets”.

Sidharth advised Mahek not to be upfront and react on petty issues. He told her to take a stand on issues on which no one can challenge her- Good way to incite a good person to pick up fights.

The weekly task of enacting the roles of kids and parents provided everyone an opportunity to vent their anger, frustration and feelings against other inmates.

Shakti, acting as baby of Amar, always shouted that his mother ran away with the washer man. Amar did not like this statement and avoided any direct reply. Sidharth, acting as baby of Mahek kept harping on the issue of Shakti’s mom running away with washer man. Finally Amar got involved directly with Sidharth and advised him that small kids do not talk on such subjects. Sidharth continued and this infuriated Amar who told Sidharth that he will soon marry his mama- A very immature act on the part of Sidharth.

Amar walked out of dining hall and told Shakti that he will take on Sidharth in a fight if he so wises.

Mahek advised Sidharth to cool down but he was bent upon teasing Amar.

Later, PB also sided Sidhartha- Clever way of getting him in her group.

Day 17- How will Amar tackle Sidharth.

The weekly task was like adding fuel to fire. Everyone gossiped in a baby’s tone giving vent to their feelings about others.

Resultantly, permanent groups will emerge with Sidharth joining PB group.

Shakti, will have the last laugh because he got what he wanted- Amar and Sidharth daggers drawn. Cunning Shakti.

Vida will play safe. Dhe is boring and may get nominated for eviction.

Raageshwari will tow PB line.

Shardha will get closer to Shakti. She will be scared to speak up and confront anyone alone.

Shonali will feel neglected by the group and apologize to all for her erratic behavior in the past.

Mahek will be smart to extract plans out of Sidharth and tell Amar.

Amar will wait for the task to finish and invite Siadharth to explain his provoking comments and conversation.

There is a possibility of direct confrontation between Amar and Sidharth followed by a fight with inmates intervening to control them.

Mandeep will support Amar.

Sidharth is digging his own grave.
